Who We Are

The EKT Guckloch e.V. association was founded by parents in 2003, and Kita Guckloch opened its doors in September 2004.

The commitment and initiative of our families not only create the framework for our work, but also help maintain and equip our space. Our educators are our most important partners — our relationship is built on appreciation and trust.

At Guckloch, around 25–30 children (including children with integration needs) are cared for from the age of one year until they start school.
In the Cloud Group, three early childhood educators look after the 1- to 3-year-olds, while in the Sun Group, another three educators care for the 3- to 6-year-olds.

Our Space

The Kita is located on the ground floor of a multi-family house. We have a spacious cloakroom, a large communal kitchen with a cooking and baking area, a bathroom, a small office corner, and a versatile playroom with a large playhouse, building area, reading nook, and book corner.
There’s also a large movement room with a stage and climbing elements, and an art studio (atelier) filled with creative materials for crafting and experimenting.

For outdoor play and exploration, we regularly visit the many nearby playgrounds and the Volkspark Friedrichshain.

Opening Hours

We’re open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
