Our Approach

The educational concept of our center is based on the Berlin Educational Program, the experience of our educators, and the latest insights from educational research.

Every child is unique. We place each child’s holistic and individual development at the center of our work — always considering their previous experiences, needs, interests, and abilities. Everything a child does has meaning and value.

Free and independent play holds a central place in our daily routine, because for children, play means learning. Through self-directed play, children explore, experiment, and understand themselves and the world around them. This process involves acting, feeling, thinking, and reflecting.

At Guckloch, we give children the time and space they need for self-directed activities. Our environment supports their loving and confident personal growth, encourages social interaction, and nurtures their joy in learning and belonging.

Partnership with Families

The relationship between families and educators is built on respect and trust.
We maintain regular communication through informal chats, development talks, and parent meetings.

Every child is unique — and so is their start at Guckloch. The settling-in period is a gentle process that helps each child feel safe and at home. This time is an important and meaningful experience for the child, their family, and our educators alike.

Inclusion

Our inclusive approach aims to foster acceptance, empathy, and understanding among all children.
Children with disabilities are given the opportunity to develop in a natural, caring environment, where they are seen and valued as equals.

Inclusion at Guckloch is more than just living and learning together — it also includes individual support for each child’s specific needs.
